Elise was great. She helped me with the selection of songs to be played during my father’s service and they were moving and very heartfelt. Elise was not only a piper, but a key person with heartfelt emotions for this service. I can’t thank her enough. She was grand!

Elise was exceptional! We chatted several times before event and made all arrangements together. She was easy to work with, flexible when it came time for her performance and very willing. She’s on my list to call again!

Elise exceeded expectations in helping us to select songs for our scattering of ashes in San Francisco Bay. She was very professional in every step of the process and her bagpipe playing was enjoyed by all of our family. Don’t forget to ask for Amazing Grace if it is appropriate for your event. I wanted to let you know so many of the family that was present came to tell me afterwards how beautifully you played. My uncle, who was going to speak told me he was truly about to loose his composure and break down but when you started playing he was able to calm down, relax, and collect himself. Were it not for your playing I do feel a lot more people would have felt on edge as this was a tense week for all of us but listening to the music to start off the funeral really helped to ground and center us all.

My wife and I hired Charmas to play at our recent wedding and we couldn’t be happier with their performance! Everyone in attendance seemed to enjoy them. We had a Celtic-themed wedding so they obviously fit in well with that, but they would be great at any sort of gathering where people are looking to have a good time. They played a nice mix of traditional Celtic songs and more popular contemporary music with traditional instruments (their rendition of The Proclaimers’ 500 Miles was a HUGE hit, I don’t think anyone could resist singing along)! Elise did some fantastic bagpiping for our ceremony in addition to the full band playing later. The band was professional, courteous, and a lot of fun to have around. They were also very flexible: If you have a particular song in mind, they’ll try to learn it if you give them enough notice. They are great at suggesting songs they already know that will fit in with your gathering. Charmas provided us with a fun, memorable experience filled with dancing and revelry, and I can’t recommend them highly enough!

Elise, was amazing! She literally had one day’s notice. We had previously booked someone else and unfortunately they weren’t able to make it. She drove from Santa Cruz to Stockton which is about a 2 hour drive. Her pricing was reasonable. Thanks again Elise.
